The Road Trip Socks are inspired by the curving highways on trips to some of my favorite destinations! This pattern includes a mixture of purled cables and garter stitch. These socks are worked from the cuff down, with a garter heel flap & gusset and finished with a purled toe and kitchener stitch.
Finished Measurements:
S(M,L) 7.5”(8.5”,10”) circumference. When measuring foot, make sure to measure at the widest part of your foot to ensure proper fit!
Suggested Yarn:
250 - 280 yards of fingering weight yarn.
-Traveling Yarn 757 sock Base. Main color in the colorway ‘Macaron’ and contrasting color in the colorway ‘Spicy Salmon’

Suggested Needles:
US 1.5 (2.5mm) 9” circulars, 32” (for magic loop method) or US 1.5 (2.5mm) DPNs for small circumference knitting.
Notions:
2 stitch markers, weaving needle, scissors, cable needle (optional).
Techniques featured:
knit stitches, purl stitches, cables, slipped stitches, left and right decrease stitches, heel flap, gusset, kitchener stitch for toe, cuff down sock knitting, picking up stitches for the gusset.
